Freezing childhood into memorable moments is what I do. As a mother of three, I know all to well how fast our children grow. Little aspects of personality, growth, interests, and attitude can change overnight. Capturing these intricacies is my goal. Taking photographs of the subject in their daily environment, playing, running, jumping, and yes, even sulking, give a better image of who the child is in that moment. Embrace with me the mess, the dirty face, and the un-brushed hair - the true moments of childhood.
This is the journey of a creative 10 year old. What makes her world complete? Art, music, books and a very healthy imagination.
Rodger Kingston said “The camera is a save button for the mind’s eye.” I am saving moments of childhood so they can be remembered in the future.

When conflict is bothering her she draws. It is an expression of her feelings.
She also draws when she finds beauty in the world. Her own way to capture her surroundings.
Reading offers another way to escape her ever moving mind. It opens worlds of fantasy and imagination.
School days sometimes end in conflict due to her creative personality. Sitting in a desk for 8 hours is hard work.
The creative spirit can always find joy, even if it is playing with a stick. The imagination is never ending.
